Photography has been my passion for more years than I care to admit. I am, what is known in the industry, a "weekend warrior." I do not rely on my photography as my sole means of support. So that I can give each client the attention they deserve, I will not take on more than two weddings a month. When I photograph a wedding my goal is to capture the memories and feelings of a very emotional day and to provide beautiful images that will last a lifetime. I use digital SLR cameras with a variety of high quality lenses. All photographs are professionally processed for color, composition and exposure. For every hour I spend shooting photographs, I typically spend an additional 2 - 4 hours processing the photographs. I have an emotional investment in the images I create and will only present those that meet my standards of quality. Some photographers have a "photojournalist" style where things are captured as they happen without any intervention from the photographer. Others are very "traditional" and will manipulate poses, background, lighting etc to fit a preconceived idea of what a couple/wedding should look like. Although I lean closer to the photo journalist side, I do feel it is important to take in consideration the personalities of the couple & family and suggest things that will best capture that feel in their images. This is especially important if the couple is nervous on their big day or uncomfortable in front of the camera. Doing an engagement and/or bridal shoot before the wedding provides a great opportunity to learn about you and get comfortable with one another before the big day. My wedding coverage starts at $300, includes a free portrait sitting and always includes digital negatives with printing rights. I encourage you to view the samples on my web page. Please feel free to contact me and share ideas for your wedding or portrait photography. |
